Apply for Assistant Database Administrator - ICT (Project Based)

1. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
   
   • Manage Oracle Databases for Production & DR Instances
   • Strong technical experience with Oracle RAC/ASM and Oracle DataGuard architecture on Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c.
   • Experience with all aspects of database administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
   • Responsible for evaluating patch releases from Oracle and patching requests from development, and communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment.
   • Proactive database monitoring in support of metrics, issue avoidance, and issue resolution.
   • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical performance issues/bottlenecks (e.g., network, storage, application).
   • Import & Export Oracle PeopleSoft Database backups.
   • Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities and capacity planning.
   • Communicate database requirements to the development team for the design and implementation of database-related code.
   • Defining Back-up, Archiving and Disaster recovery strategy.
   • Produce technical documentation related to the databases under management according to technology standards.
   • Provide off hours support and be part of the on-call rotation as required Business Partnership.
   • Performing any other tasks assigned by the Manager IS and Head of ICT.
   
   
   Qualification & Experience:
   
   • BE/BS Computer Science or equivalent degree from HEC recognized university/Institute with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
   • Core competency with Oracle 11g RDBMS and Oracle 12c RDBMS. (19c would be a Plus)
   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; superior analytical and problem-solving skills
   • Experience/Advanced knowledge of logical and physical database modeling concepts and techniques
   • At least 2 years of working experience on Oracle 11G/12C.
   • Knowledge of database performance factors, maintenance tools, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
   • Knowledge of productivity factors and ability to understand impact of issues on overall database performance.
   • Experience with Disaster Recovery implementation and testing using DataGuard preferred.
   • Expert backup and recovery skills utilizing Oracle’s RMAN utility.
   • Strong Redhat LINUX experience.
   • Oracle Database related certifications would be a huge Plus.
